Building a fresh produce exchange app to reduce food waste
Globally ⅓ of food produced ends up unused. In Canada alone, about 2 million tonnes of edible food is wasted. On a smaller scale, we know that many people have backyard gardens, and sometimes they grow too much for themselves. To help with this we propose developing an app that allows gardeners to trade and share produce that they do not need or want.
